One Word Film Project
For this project we were instructed to make a short film between 1-2 minutes long with a partner in which we had to represent a word without using any kind of dialogue or music with lyrics. However we were aloud to use instrumental and environmental sound. We also had to use some editing techniques such as Eyeline matches, Inserts, and Graphic matches.
The word that was assigned to us was reminisce. While brainstorming how we would do the project we created a storyboard in which we drew all the ideal shots we were gonna use while recording with a brief description of the actions being made in the shot. We also made sure to jot down the kind of editing we would do in between shots. This helped us better visualize how we would do the recordings by giving us a general idea of where we would do the shots and in what order they would go in to get the best results. To edit the project after the recordings we used the Adobe Premier Rush app to create all the cuts and transitions to fulfil the editing process.
Once all the work was done, me and my partner reviewed the project and for the most part we did a pretty good hob on everything. However when it came so some of the cuts, we realized that 2 or 3 of them were kind of clumsily made since we had to try and perfectly sync instrumental that we did live. Overall though, we did a pretty good job representing the word, making the edits, and planning the Film.
