In todays blog I will be discussing the script for my films opening scene. A script is the written text for films, tv shows or any other kind of pieces of media. Scripts provide valuable information such as shots and composition, stage directions, setting, character actions and most importantly dialogue. In my opinion dialogue is the most crucial part of the script for our film opening because heavy words and bad language are exactly what is going to spark the first conflict in our film. Overall the script or screenplay of any kind of media is one of the most important things needed.
Knowing all this information, the time for me to write my own script came along. Thankfully because of previous projects I have done in the past (school related and not school related), some kind of experience making scripts is there. I have done many projects in class and used to write scripts for YouTube video intros when I was younger. Although it may not seem like much, I think it may help me having somewhat experience when it comes to making the script to my film opening. Some screenplays I have tried using for reference to write my own are one from "Star Wars A New Hope" (Because of structural reasons) and one from the movie "Black Panther" (because of the argumentative element of this particular scene)
Thanks for checking out todays blog. More updates coming soon!
